Birthdays and Halloween

Jake turned 39 this year and we kept it simple with the family. Since our HHG's arrived I had the black cocoa to make his all time favorite chocolate blackout cake. And the recipe is still a hit. He is the best guy ever!
We also celebrated Jane's birthday the next day. She loves pink, princesses, babies, dogs, and cats. She is everyone's favorite to snuggle with and she gives really good hugs. We love our 3 year old! Her birthday landed on a day off of school so the kids and I hit the beach to celebrate and we had an absolutely breautiful beach day full of swiming, digging, and chasing wave bubbles.
We took her princess crown cake to the park and celebrated with friends.
We've also been preparing for Halloween. Kai had an early costume party at school so I got to walk a dinosaur to school. We also just loved experimenting with all our costume items. Then Jane loved the dinosaur costume was so popular that Jane chose to be it for trick or treating. Kai was happy to switch to spiderman like Louis. Pace and Grand were both scary cloak guys. While trick or treating really isn't a Halloween thing we were lucky enough to get invited to a friend's neighbor hood trick or treat. Unfortunately this Halloween I dropped the ball on goood pictures. But I caught a few fun ones along the way.
Besides Halloween and our birthdays we were able to celebrate some of our friends birthdays. The parties were lovely and we are so thatnkful for our friends. Kai and Jane especially loved being able to eat popcicles and lolipops in the pool. What a treat!
We also made it to the beack with our friends Jessica, Kleber, Nicolas, and Benicio. The kids had a blast and ended up digging a Mickey pool. The next day Jessica and I took a trip to the temple in Recife together. So thankful I got to go to the temple again.
And just to wrap this blog up I want to say we are so thankful for all the celebrations packed into these 2 weeks. But we also enjoy our day to day events. Like our walks to the park and finding cool plants and a huge wasp nest. We have loved these last two weeks of fun and we are so thankful to be living here and enjoying these times together.
