Military Spouse Appreciation Day

Military life can be hard and I have learned to be adaptable. There are so many changes, not to mention all the moves (luckily we've had a lot less thatn many). Being away from extended family is one of the hardest things for me. Having Jake leave sometimes for work trips is hard, but I have learned how strong I am. I can find balance in my life when it feels like there is total chaos. But there are so many aspects of it that I love. Military life creates a easy friendships, because we have to find new friends every few years. I love the frienships we have made. I also love that every place we live is such an adventure, each place has been wonderful. And I am an adventurer at heart. I love to go out and explore. There is even a Military Spouse Appreciation Day. And this year USFJ put together a really fun day to show us how much they appreciate us. They took us on a scenic flight over a beautiful coastline and over Mt Fuji in a C 130. It's not really the best aircraft for sight seeing, but it was quite the experience. I am very thankful that I do not get motion sick. I was lucky to share this experience with a lot of really amazing friends that have helped me and my family so much while we have been here. And Jake and Jane were there to welcome me when I got off the plane.
