Friendship Festival!
When we first got here everyone was talking about how cool the Yokota Friendship Festival is, and how we shouldn't miss it. But because of COVID it was canceled both of the previous years we were here. This year they did it earlier and it was amazing. Our kids, who love all vehicles, especially military vehicles had a blast. The Friendship Festival celebrates the friendship between the US and Japan. Both countries bring their military vehicles for the community to explore. And of course there are many delicious food vendors. They also did a firework show one night, which I took all the kids to while Jake was working at the event. The kids loved it and I was impressed that not even Jane was scared of the fire works.
In other news we are enjoying the beautiful weather here and baseball has come to an end.
Also, we had the closing ceremonies for my culture group and then we celebrated with an american style bbq. Then one of our members played a traditional Japanese instrument and they sang a traditional Japanese song for us.
And these cute kids I just love them.
