Baila's Challah

Being a family member of a millitary man has its advantages.  One of them being the wonderful people you meet (my favorite).  On Monday some ladies from Jake's got Battalion and I got together.  We met at Jake's battalion chaplain's house and his wife, Baila, taught us how to make Challah.  Challah is a leavened bread traditionally baked to celebrate the Jewish sabbath and holidays.  Baila is an amazing baker and after that night I wanted to make some of my own.  Luckily she gave us her recipie and a tutorial on how to braid the bread.  So, yesterday I tried my hand at it.
Getting ready to braid the bread.

Ready to go in the oven

Pace admiring our work.
