Jake and I went to the 94th Battalion Ball last weekend. They decided to have the event at Lake of the Ozarks which is about an hour away from here. It is a fun place to have it, but it also meant that we would be leaving Pace with a babysitter for the longest we've left him. Added to all that, it was the day of a huge ice storm and last year's ball I hadn't really enjoyed because we didn't know anyone. So, on the way out I was a little hesitant to say the least. Poor Jake got an earful of complaints.
Luckily it turned out much better than expected. Pace did amazingly with my friend watching him and the roads were much better once we got up to Lake of the Ozarks. Millitary balls are much more fun once you know the people you are sharing a table with. I actually had a really fun night. A big thank you to all who made it possible.

Your hair is so beautiful! I'm glad you actually enjoyed the ball this time, in spite of leaving Pace behind. :)
