Black Sheep

I PASSED MY DEFENCE!!!!  I was so incredibly nervous.  I mean that whole day has to rank as my day of most sweaty and anxious energy (sorry if the sweat part is gross).  I think because my graduate experience has really consumed so much of my life for the last couple of years this defence was so important to me.  The defence went much smoother than anticipated, and I can now say that I have a masters in chemical engineering.  WOOT!  My life has moved on to another phase, and I think I have had enough school for a while.

To celebrate this momentous occasion Jake took me out to the Black Sheep Cafe.  Let me tell you it did not disappoint.  They have unique offerings like Navajo tacos and gourmet burgers served on traditional Nanniskadi (a traditional bread).  I got a blue burger (It had blue cheese in the patty and I was up for a big meal since I had lost so much energy in all the anxiety of defending) and Jake got the Navajo taco trio.  YUM!  I didn't take any pictures so here is one I got from their facebook page. :)  That is the taco trio.

Other important/exciting news is that Jake got his orders for our first 3 year location and it is Missouri.  So, I am excited to explore this new state that I know so little about.  I have three years to do it.  Watch out Ozark Trail here I come!

    1. Not sure of the exact date we're moving, but Jake starts June 4. Also, my schedule became a lot more open. So we should do something! Also, just think of it as a little more time with Matt before he gets a lot more busy. But I am super excited for Missouri!
