He's a millitary man.

Jake is a newly commissioned 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Army.  He said his oath and everything is official.  I am really proud of him.  He is really good at helping people and I think he is going to be a great officer.  Lots of family came to support Jake for the big event  Here are some pictures that were taken.  Sorry our camara did not like the lighting in that room. (Also, we actually have a video of Jake taking his oath, but as my brother-in-law has it I will share it when I can).

My mom, grand parents, and I waiting for the event to begin.

Jake taking his oath (He is in the back row second from the right.)

I have to say out of all the big events (you'll hear about all of them in future posts), this one had the biggest effect on me.  I realized what a big thing it really is for Jake to be an officer in the army (although I am still unsure how it will really be).  It is going to be a huge change for Jake and I.  But we are so excited.  We even went and got our military I.D.s the other day and are looking forward to all the discounts and benefits.  I am afraid of deployments, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
