Simply Christmas!

So we kept it simple this year and ate Christmas Eve dinner with the Walkers, Erwins, and Johnsons. The kids performed the nativity, which was a bit of chaos, but beautiful. Then we ate ham, potatoes, fruit, greenbeans, rolls, peppermint cheesecake, and apple crisp. There was probably more delicous foods, but those were some favorites.
Christmas morning we opened presents and called my parents. Then we relaxed and stayed home the rest of the day. Just an easy, laid back day. I loved that we had less presents so we had more time to do other things. The weather was beautiful so we had fun on a walk watching all the kids in the neighbohood try their new bikes or scooters. The kids also loved playing with their presents from both sets of grandparents.
Later in the week we decorated gingerbread houses and did the nativity with Jake's family digitally. Even though we're far it's still fun to do some of the traditions together.
