Spooky Costumes
Halloween this year was so layed back and great for us this year. Instead of trick or treating this year we decided to help our piano teacher with her English class Halloween party and have a hot dog roast with friends at our house. I loved it, and while the kids were a bit disappointed not to trick-or-treat they still got plenty of candy. This year we had a dinosaur, a cowboy, Mike Wazowski, a Sith Lord, and Harry Potter. I thought they were a pretty good looking crew.
The English Class Halloween Party involved some games and shopping (with fake money for treats). Our kids were a bit hesitant at first to talk, but then they jumped right in. After the party we all went out for dinner at a yummy Japanese restaurant. Can you spot the little dino at the top of the group photo?!
Our Halloween hot dog roast was a blast. We got to spend time with friends, play pin the face on the pumpkin, and eat donuts off a string. I was so busy having fun that I forgot to take pictures. I captured one and here's an after party pic of our pumkin face.
So in between all these Halloween festivities we found a really cool hike near our house that overlooks Yokota. It is also the location of some castle ruins. In addition we found something interesting hanging in a spider nest...and we saw so many spiders.
And just for fun, here's a picture of Jane feeding chicken nuggets to a rat.
We have also been going to the lego lab at our library, and here is Pace's masterpiece.
And of course here are our jack-o-laterns this year. We carved them the day after Halloween this year, because who really wants Halloween to end?!
