Harry Potter Studios Tokyo

I have been a Harry Potter fan since I recieved the first 3 books for Christmas from my parents. After which I anxiously awaited the release of each of the other books. Lucky for me Pace also loves Harry Potter and has read the books, so I get to share that with him. The other kids have also enjoyed watching some of the movies with us and this November we had the priviledge of visiting the new Harry Potter Studios. It was SOOO amazing. They included so many details, props, and movie making techniques we spent hours there. I think we got there at 2 pm and we didn't leave until after 7 pm. With 5 kids in tow that is amazing, and there were almost no complaints (only at the end when the hunger started to kick in. I'll try to keep it to some of our favorite hihghlights, but we really loved this day so there might be a lot of pictures. Before entering the studios they have som fun sculptures and things outside, we particularyly liked these large scale HP glasses.
Immediately after scanning our entrance tickets we were greated by this hungarian horntail.
We then listened to an introductory video and made our way through the sets, props, etc. They had a great hall set.
We roamed all over Hogwarts.
Visited the forbidden forest and cast our own patronus. Jane's was a dog, Pace's was a Stag, and Louis's was a wolf. I can't remember the rest.
We also visited Hagrid's hut and rode his motorcycle.
Saw the night bus.
Rode in the Weasley's flying car.
Drank some butterbeer and ate some popcorn.
Visited Privet Drive to catch some Hogwarts letters.
Played Wizard chess and caught the Hogwarts express.
Visited the Ministry of Magic.
Got some cool photo and movie clips made.
Last but not least we saw the Hogwarts model and it was time to go. Such a great day with so much magic.
And just for fun here are a few pictures from home this week. The missionary is the nephew of our good friends the Son family we knew in Hawaii.
