Summer's End

We have tried to make plans and keep busy as this Army life keeps us in limbo (we were originally told to be prepared to move in June). I think we have been so blessed to enjoy this extra time we have been given in Japan. I've already registered our kids in school again this year, because who knows when our orders will finally arive, and school starts back up again on Monday. And boy I don't know if we're ready to give uyp this carefree summer schedule.
A couple weeks ago we went to our first major Japanese firework show, and it didn't dissapoint. They had a few fireworks that were really unique. Funniest part was that they announced all the big fireworks so everyone could get their cameras ready. We loved it and we got to spend an evning with the Erwins.
On a Saturday Jake and I took the kids to the Natural History Museum in Tokyo to see dinosaur bones. A few other favorite sections included the animals of the world and a rock and gem collection from all over Japan.
I have also been enjoying lazy mornings as my kids sleep in by taking daily morning walks. And luckily our neighborhood always has beautiful flowers and trees to make it beautiful.
We did have to say goodbye to our dear friends the AlHalabis as they are heading to BYU to study. We will miss you Moneer and Manar!
Jane and Kai made poscicle stick flowers with me.
Jake grilled us burgers and one looked just like the Milenium Falcon.
So, we're just making memories and hoping that we will soon have some answers about our future.
