10 Years of Being Pace's Mom

While we were in Korea, Pace turned 10. That's right Pace hit the decade mark, and that's a I'm so impressed by this guy, he's surprised me, loved me, played with me, and made me cry. I've learned so much because of him and I am so proud to be "Pace's Mom". Pace loves Pokemon (doing battles and collecting), baseball (he started pitching this year), playing nintedo switch, reading, and legos. He plays with Jane and is always asking to hold her. He is about to start fifth grade, and loves school. He is a really fast runner and can run long distances. He's an amazing guy and I am so proud of him.
For his birthday this year we decided to have a party with his friends if we were still living here in Japan, luckily for him we are still waiting for orders to our next assignment. He wanted a Mario themed party, which was a lot of fun to plan WITH Pace. That's right, this is the first time one of my kids took the time to help plan out and prepare for their own birthday party. He went shopping with me, picked out a cake design for me to make, helped me think of games that would work for his friends, and even volunteered to prepare the party favor bags. As a mom it was such a joy to plan something like that for him and it turned out to be a success. We played pin the mustache on Mario, Goomba bowling with a coopa shell, ate cake, and watched the movie together.
