Cousin Time and Korea Pt 1

After having so few visits since being in Japan it was so much to have our third visitors, this time coming from Korea was Jake's Brother Josh and his family. They spent some time exploring Japan on their own and then they came and played with us. Mostly we just played around our neighborhood and enjoyed the time with cousins.
We did do a date night with Josh and Jeong Eun. We went to get some Shabu Shabu and then went to a Drum Tao concert. The concert was just amazing. They were really great musicians and performers. Glad we decided to go see them.
On the 4th of July we went to Kawagoe. It was really hot and a bit busy, but we found a yummy restaurant to eat in. The food was all great, except for the little whole raw squid. I ate one, but even Jeong Eun said it was too much for her to eat. I had to agree, the texture was not delicious and it was really not yummy. The eel rice dish was delicious. For desert the kids all wanted ice cream and Jeoung Eun and I snuck off to get a yummy sweet potatoe ice cream dessert.
The next day we boarded our Space A flight to Korea. We got to fly on the same flight as our cousins, but unfortunately there were some mechanical issues that kept us on the tarmac for a couple of hours before we could take off. When we did make it we were glad that Josh and Jeoung Eun's house was only about 20 minutes away. The next day we were planning on going to Legoland, but the drive was congested and we got there much later than we anticipated. So we decided to scrap that and we just went for Korean Shave Ice, which is divine. Then we headed to the hotel to relax. The hotel was amazing with Lego creations everywhere and our room was amazing too.
Since we were already there we spent the whole day exploring Legoland and riding all the rides. The place was not busy at all so we rode almost every single ride. The kids all had a blast. I loved the rainbow animals, especially so there are a lot of pictures of those. That evening the kids all played in the pool and Jeoung Eun cooked us some yummy dinner and we watched Tarzan.
The next day we visited a beautiful farm, where the kids all got to enjoy the animals. It was a really hot day to walk around, but the fun tree houses and play area were really fun. The kids had a lot of fun exploring them, and Grant was surrounded by goats at one point. Kai loved feeding the cows and seeing all the sheep and goats. For dinner we got some Korean BBQ, which was delicious and Pace even tried raw crab (it is really delicious and so much better than raw squid)! So proud of him for trying something new. That night we let Pace and Grant stay up to watch Spirited Away with us.
Sunday we relaxed. Had a fun day just hanging out with our cousins. And we celebrated Pace's Birthday with a Baskin Robbins rubix cube cake. We had delicious Korean fried chicken and Jeoung Eun and I got a massage. Such a great day of rest.
It was so great to spend so much time with our family. Such a blessing when we don't get to see family very often because we live so far away.
