This BIG Guy is 4!!!

He just happens to have had a birthday and now he is our favorite 4-year-old around.  So I am going to take this post and share a little about Pace, because not only has he had a birthday he has reached some milestones.

First off he started preschool this month.  He loves it and it's fun to see his projects.  The first day he told me about their science table that day.  They learned what things melted.  He said ice really melted and chocolate chips kind of melted.  Hah! (ok, so I may have tried to teach him about viscosity after that). Learning chemistry young, I love it.
He loves pancakes, bacon and everything breakfast.
Ok, so this is cereal.  But he personally requested this picture because both Grant and him had matching cups, bibs, and bowls (completely on accident!)

He is a really good older brother.

They wanted to match!  Love it!

He tries really hard to do things right.  Like when we went bowling, he didn't use the ramp for a while because he wanted to bowl like us.

He LOVES to read.  This is probably his favorite pastime.  He likes to read on his own and be read to.

He also learned to ride a bike

And then mom and dad let him go down a hill before he was ready...  And he had is first surgery and black eye.  Yes, I feel horrible!  How could I let this happen!?!  But he has recovered so quickly.  And he is brave and has already started back on his bike, with just a little more hesitation.
These pictures just melt my heart.  Pace was in too much pain to talk or smile, but he got out of bed to greet Louis and wanted to hold him.  So we put Louis in bed with him to cuddle.

Only his brother could comfort him.

This was about 5 days after and he was already looking so much better.  What a tough guy.
Pace asked for a Pinata for his birthday, so we obliged and threw a little party.  Here are some highlights.

Pizza Party! With friends from his Primary class.

We shot off some rockets that Pace got for his birthday.

Some other things happening around here are that we visited the Children's Museum here.  It was a really fun day and it kind of helped Pace bounce back to his happy self after his recovery time.

Love Grant's smile in this one.  Pace is the Lady Bug.

You brush your teeth!  Chh,chh, chhh, chh, chh,ch...

Grant got his dream of driving a bus...kind of.
Also, we had a kitchen guest that almost jumped down onto me while I was cooking dinner.  Jake was kind enough to catch him.  I will never get over how many geckos and lizards there are here!
