He's a scooter!

This was a big week for Pace, a couple of milestones were reached.  He got his first tooth ... right in the middle on the bottom. He also has fully learned to scoot!  He can get to where he wants to go!  This is crazy for Jake and I.  First of all, breastfeeding is a little more uncomfortable ...  Pace never was gentle when he ate, but now with a tooth itcan be downright painful.  Second of all, our house is no where near baby-proofed.  Even just scooting and being in his walker he can get into things.  But more than being a little concerned for his safety, we love seeing him being so independent.  I feel like he has just blossomed this week and we are seeing even more of his personality.

He goes into a crawl position too!

Another way he is blossoming is his sense of humor.  Gotta love his noises and faces he makes!

Carrot goatee!

Love this guy!
So, with all this learning and growing with Pace I have been very distracted while doing the everyday chores.  This can lead to me doing some embarrassing things.  Today for instance.  I took down the laundry and stuck my book in so I could read it after.  Then being distracted by the cutie I totally forgot about.  This led to me washing it.  You may think that it was just a small book, easy to not notice.  No, it was a huge probably 800 page hardbound book.  Yeah, sad day.  I felt so sad about it I had to call Jake so he could make me feel better.  Oh the joys of being absent minded and a mother :)

  1. At least scooting isn't as fast as crawling, so you should still have some time to baby proof.
