Congratulations to Jake! He was promoted today to first lieutenant. They held the ceremony outside in bellow freezing temperatures, but that couldn't keep Pace and I away. We faced the cold weather, and still had a good time.

We are so proud of Jake for serving our country! Couldn't ask for a better husband and father!
On a side note, we have been busily preparing for Thanksgiving as well. Jake's parents and sister are coming to celebrate with us (and we can't wait to see them). After thawing out our first whole turkey, we brined it last night. Excited to try it after its been cooked. We'll let you know how it turns out.
