So, I have been working on my thesis for a while now. It took a few weeks to get through all the comments/changes that my advisor wanted. I had everything perfectly timed out so that I could give my other committee members two full weeks to review my thesis (and I would have to hurry and make the changes over the weekends in between) and still defend by the first week in April. After giving it to my B committee member, a delightful surprise came. He only took two days to read it all! It was a great blessing. So I have been making all the changes (at a more relaxed pace) and am now almost ready to give it to my final committee member (I'll be done later today . Yay! I can't even begin to express how good it feels to be this close. Now I just hope my defence will go as smoothly :)
Other news is that Jake and I had one of the craziest soccer games ever. We were scheduled outside, because the intramural flag football was going on in the indoor field. Unfortunately it began to snow about an hour before our game and just kept on going. I mean it felt like a full on blizzard. Here is a picture of us bundled up before starting to play (but trust me this picture does not do the snow justice).
Jake has been in charge of remedial PT (physical training) this semester. It is an extra two days of PT for those in ROTC who are not passing or doing well on their PT tests. Jake has been a great coach. I can tell he really cares about the guys he is helping and he seems to really enjoy it. So I am glad he gets the opportunity to do it. It also makes me have no excuse for not exercising every morning ... so I guess it is good for me too.
