Fall Weather We Love You!
The cooler weather has finally come and it is divine to be outside (minus a few really rainy days). So on a Friday that we all had off the kids suggested a trip to Showa Park's Childrens Forest and why not?! And to our delight, many friends decided to join us, which made for the best kind of day off. Many flower were out including fields of golden flowers...which I enjoyed sans camera. But I did take a picture of these beautiful white spider lillies with Lou...isn't he the cutest!?
The kids played for hours, and this time the winner for favorite park equipment was this amazing slide. Not sure how many times we went down this slide...too many to count. They did it slow, fast, alone and with friends.
We came home and Grant made us a delicious fruit pizza...and yes it was as delicious as it looked.
Long weekends are the best, and since it decided to rain on Saturday we decided to head to the Railway Museum. This was our second time visiting (Jane's first time), and the trains were still a hit. We climbed aboard as many trains as we could and Jane and Ezra even became shinkanssen stowaways (they climbed into a blocked of section....oops, haha!). Then we finished the day off with a late lunch at a mini stop and then a trip to the local Off House...and found a few treasures.
Then last week in school the kids participated in the Hispanic Heritage Month Shoebox Float Parade. All our boys helped decorate them...Pace, Grant and Louis got to carry the floats. So fun to watch the big smiles as they carried their floats.
There was also Fire Prevention week going on so Louis and Grant got to do a smoke room ecape exercize and brought fire hats home for Jane and Kai to enjoy. On Saturday we got to see the Fire Safety Parade.
Jake bought me this beautiful fall flower arangement, which I must share!
Sunday we headed up to the Tokyo Temple Complex for our Stake Conference. The messages were uplifting and our kids love the stories everyone shared. We definately felt the Spirit of Christ. And despite the rain we still captured a few pics of us in one of our favorite places.
And here are two last fun pictures from this week. Grant built a temple and Jane's hair is always amazing on the trampoline.
