Kai, Kai He's our Guy!
Kai just turned 4! This kid is such an important guy in our family. He looks up to has big brothers and loves hanging out with Jane (with minor disagreements about sharing). He loves building trucks out of magnetic blocks, his favorite show is Blaze and the Monster Machines. He enjoys his preschool, but always looks grumpy when I drop him off (but is always happy to share about his school day after). He loves airplanes right now, so much so that his favorite song is Danger Zone from Top Gun. He holds my hand wherever we go (which I love). He is super chatty and he loves being read stories. We love him so much. For his birthday we woke him up with the "Celebration" song, and his excitement about his birthday we so cute all day. He loved all the singing, messages, cake and of course presents. He asked for a fighter jet birthday cake, which I was happy to do (since Grant already had a cake like that I knew I could do it).
And here's a cute comparison of Kai now and 3 years ago.
And just to spotlight Kai a bit more, here are some more cute pictures of him. This one he and Jane are at our neighborhood firetruck playground.
Storytime with Dad.
Kai letting his brothers help him out with his dinosaur digging kit.
Other than Kai's birthday we have had some fun goings on. Our friend Mark turned 40 and Jake and the boys decided to decorate his desk at work.
I'm no photographer, but I captured this beautiful photo of some tiny flowers in our yard...they are itty bitty.
A praying mantis crawled across my hands as I was pushing our stroller taking Jane and Kai on a walk.
We went to Round 1 again (an arcade/sports game/entertainment center) to our kids delight. And I actually enjoyed it so much more than I actually expected because of the one on one time I got to spend with our kids. I played in the balloon room with Jane and Kai, shot foam ball guns with Grant and Kai, shot spiders and dragons in a tank arcade game with Louis, and played ping pong and pool with Pace. I only got pictures with the younger two because I was too busy playing. What a great morning.
And to end this post, here is Jane tring on Minnie Ears at the Erwins.
