I Fell Out of a Plane!

We love spending time with family, so we were super excited to have Mike and Steph come and visit.  Jake thought it would be fun to invite them to come skydiving with us during their visit (since we missed out on it in New Zealand)...so we did it.  And let me tell you skydiving is no joke!  It was a crazy, awesome experience and I am so glad we did it with these two.  I could try to explain how it feels, but it just has to be experienced to understand.  But we ended up having to wait quite a bit because they were super busy that day.  So we had plenty of time to hang out and think about how many times we had to sign our life away to make this possible (they make you sign all these liability waivers that tell you how you can die during skydiving, and about everything that could go wrong, etc.).  But it was pretty cool seeing my brother fall out of an airplane and knowing my turn was coming up.  We did a back flip out of the plane.  But I am sure no matter which way you go it is absolutely exhilarating.  My instructor was singing "we do it island style" the whole way down.  Which is funny, because it is hard to imagine singing during such an intense moment.  Anyways, we had fun...so much fun.

Okay, this video is kind of long and it's not actually us coming down.  I just filmed some others while we were waiting.

Anyway, besides that we had fun going to Waimea Valley and Bay with them.  We also went paddle boarding and decided that Steph and I have much better balance than either Jake or Mike.  We also got to sit back and relax as Make and Steph made dinner for us a couple times.  The boys enjoyed playing yard games with them.  But somehow...I didn't capture any pictures, but this one.

Anyways, thanks for visiting us Mike and Steph!  We had a blast!

A few days before Mike and Steph came Jake, Grant, Louis, and I tried our hand at bushwacking in Hawaii.  We weren't too successful..but we made it a little ways with a lot of scratches.  The good news is we found a lilikoi tree, yum!

A few days after they left Jake talked me into running a half marathon with some of my friends (I had been thinking about it for a couple weeks).  It wasn't an official thing, but just relaxed.  We ran from the church in Mililani down to the Haleiwa.  I did it!  I was so proud of myself.  We started at about 4:30 and got done right around 7.  It was cool to feel so accomplished, but I was pretty sore for the next few days.
