First of all Fall calls for flannel. Here are two of my favorite guys sporting their flannel.
Ok, so I have felt the need for another hike. A real one, not just a walk in the woods at a kids speed. So Jake and I packed up the kids and Penny and headed out to Slabtown Bluff Trail. We followed the Big Piney River and then headed up the bluff. It had amazing views, which will only be more amazing next time we go when all the leaves have fallen. It is just awesome how we live so close to such amazing places (less that a half hour away). We are definitely heading back out to this one. And maybe next time we will see the elusive beaver who left all the stumps by the river.

| Grant slept most of the hike |

So on to our wonderful adventures at home. There are going to be a lot of random things posted here, but I love them all and don't want to forget the memories, so here goes.
Grant is a big eater. The only thing we really can't get him to eat is veggie baby food (even if it is homemade). He prefers chewing his food.
 |
| This is what happened when I tried to feed him spinach baby food. It is too cute not to share. He did have fun playing in it. |
 |
| Pace is only messy when he actually eats. This is one of them. |
 |
| Of course Penny is the cleanup crew |
We also got to visit with cousins. It was tough to get 4 happy babies in one picture. But Pace actually asked to hold his baby cousin. How cute is that?

| The best of three (I only show 2, because the 3rd is pretty sad) |
Grant is scooting. We are reminded all over about babyproofing. Luckily Penny's food and water have only been spilled a couple times. But it is crazy how fast this guy already is. He can get all over the house! This is a video of when he first learned to scoot.
One of our good friends let us borrow their jolly jumper. Grant absolutely loves it. He will actually scoot himself over to it and look up at it and giggle. Pace likes to participate as well. Makes for happy times all around.
 |
| Sometimes I give him beans to jump in. He loves that too. | | |

We had a visit from a firefighter at the case lot sale at the commissary. We cam home sporting new hats
Pace
loves hiding. He says he is hiding all the time. This usually only
involves covering his head, but it can be good hiding as well. He likes
the closet too

And, because we noticed this one day and laughed because it not only works on dogs and cats, but babies too. Chase that light!
On that note I will end this completely random post and wish you a happy fall!
