Summer's End

I can't believe summer is ending so soon.  It doesn't help that Missouri has stayed warm for so long.  But I can't believe how fast this year is going.  It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming Grant into the world.  I know cliche, but oh so true.
Love this picture of Pace!

With the end of summer came a sad goodbye to one of Pace's great friends.  On their last day together a got a few shots of them just so that Pace can remember him.  It was so fun to see them run, giggle and play together.

Grant also wore his first pair of shoes.  I know babies don't really need shoes, but we have been outside a lot and Grant's feet got a little tore up when I put him in the walker on the concrete.  So shoes were the easiest solution.  Now we can all easily enjoy our back porch.  I haven't been taking pictures, but Pace's favorite activity is swimming in a kiddie pool we inherited from his friend that moved away.  We go out there pretty often.  Grant likes it too!

Grant has learned to sit up on his own, with only a few tips here and there.  Yay for meeting milestones (although I really only take them with a grain of salt)!  He also is a big eater.  We are kind of skipping baby food all together with this guy.  He prefers something he can bite into.  He also eats veggies just as well as fruit.  This guy is a star.  Now if only he could inspire his older brother to eat dinner more than once a week.

We were able to make it to the Dixon Rodeo again this year.  Again it was a success.  Pace loved it even more this year.  Grant even stayed awake for the excitement.  We just love the small town rodeo.

So excited to see the Goats, Moos, and Neighs(in Pace's words), lol

Our little rodeo fan

Here's a cute video of Pace watching the sheep.  Just ignore the nose picking. lol
