Baby Steps

Okay, so Pace isn't walking on his own yet, but he is mobile. He gets into things, gets onto things, climbs in things, etc.  We never know what he'll surprise us with.  Yesterday he climbed into our tall mesh laundry basket while I was folding laundry.  He is also good at climbing onto the dishwasher (we have to watch him so we can stop him if we are loading or unloading it).  Another of his favorites is to be inside his toy basket.

Luckily he also has some toys that let him get from here to there a little faster and he loves them.  We love watching him get better and better at using them.  Here he is chasing daddy with his walker from Grandma and Grandpa Haake.

He loves this toy too!  The video was taken a couple weeks ago, but now he is standing up on his own using it and can take it from his room into ours and back again.

We also love to see him interact more with Penny, but I don't think Penny is loving it.

 

Because of the warmer weather Jake has been more involved with Boy Scout activities.  He went backpacking with them a few weeks ago.  He seemed to have a lot of fun.
