Its Raining, Its Pouring, and Penny is Snoring...

We have had so much rain in the past couple of weeks.  I am so excited to see the sun today.  But our new little garden (yep we have platted a small potted garden) is eating it up.  The strawberries are thriving.  I already have one strawberry that should be ready in the next day or two.  And dozens more after that.  It is so fun to have a little garden.

Other news, Jake has been out of town on a project for the last couple of weeks.  He gets back mid May, so I am trying my skill at taking care of everything around here on my own.  So far, its gone well.  But I am seriously missing Jake's help with cooking and cleaning.  It's ok it is helping me keep active as I am starting to feel more sluggish (since my belly is really growing).  But I am missing having him around.  So is Penny.  Since I don't play with her quite as much as Jake did she has had a lot of time to get some zzzs in.  Unfortunately Jake took the camera with him, so there will be no pictures.  Jake does not get back until I am 34 weeks, so you'll just have to use your imagination :) 

Jake is working on a construction project in Kansas.  It has been a slow start for them, because of all the rain and snow.  Thats right snow.  The weather has been very unpredictable in Kansas.  So here are some of the pictures from the conditions they have had to work around.
