Flood!!!

So the reason our house is still being put together somewhat is because we had a flood, only a week of so after moving in.  Well, a man-made flood.  The construction workers who built our house didn't tighten down one of the water pipes well, and so we has about an inch of water all over our main floor.  Luckily, our main floor has no carpet.  But since that happened all the organizing/putting stuff in place got put on hold.  We were blessed not to have to much damage on our personal items.

So, here are some after the fact pictures (unfortunately we didn't get any with the water in it).

A lot of our furniture was put on 2X4s

And a lot of our books got ruined.

Overall, they took pretty good care of us.  They put us up in a hotel and had a professional water damage company come in to clean it up.  They also took us out to dinner, so we felt blessed.  But it was an adventure to get the call that our house was flooding.
