Wrapping Up Another School Year

We have had so many fun visitors, events, and trips that the school year quickly came. But we are ready to have some fun, unplanned, unscheduled days ahead of us. But before I get into some of those I need to give a shout out to Pace for recieving a presidential improvement award at school. This kid is so smart and loves school. Proud of everything he does. Louis and Grant also did great. Grant is reading like a champ and loves science. Louis is just a huge personality and loves his Kindergarten class. So proud of them. Luckily I caught a picture of Louis with his teacher Mr D. But I missed getting a picture of Grant with Mrs Elmer.
The last couple of weekends before school was out were spent on with family and friends. We took Clark, Janelle, and Crystal to see Mt Fuji. Unfortunately it was wearing a blanket of clouds, but it was still a fun outing....until we had car troubles. Luckily we had two cars, so I just played taxi and did two trips to get everyone home. Luckily we got the van fixed easily. Here are some fun pictures from the trip.
On a different Saturday we took the kids to the National Museum of Science and Innovation. We initially did it because rain stopped us from hiking, but it was a fun day for all of us. We saw everythinng from mini robots to how to perform surgeries. It was a pretty fun place.
Amd with summer we had more time to play with friends, be outside, and just hang out at home. We even tried on new shoes, hairstyles, rode bikes, and tried yellow watermelon. We did have a traumatic river experiencce where I thought I might loose Louis...the water was faster than expected, we didn't wear life vests, and our intertube popped. But thankfully Louis and I managed to hang on to each other until my good friend Leigh could find a spot to help us out. We survived and will be much safer in the future. You better believe I was praying for a miracle, and my friend was the answer to my prayers.
And I had some much needed time with Tara and Leigh.
