Okay, so really there was no attack and we love having these bugs around. They provide so much entertainment for my boys. Grant and Louis especially have had so much fun collecting all the exoskeletons and playing with them. Although I must say I don't like having a bucket of them on the back porch, I keep thinking it looks like a bucket of cockroaches.
Just a peaceful day in the bug world
We found this cool insect in our yard. Not sure if it's a praying mantis or a grasshopper, but it seemed somewhere in between...and a big bug!
Yokota AB hosted an Olympic festival to celebrate and watch the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Unfortunately, Kai and Louis were sick so Pace, Grant, and I headed out to celebrate. We met a penguin, sounded ambulance sirens, watched olympic events, saw planes, watched our friends dance, and ate cotton candy. What could be better?
Along with the heat and cicadas, our yard is sprouting large mushrooms...a great source of amusement. Not to worry we are not tasting any of them.
Also, Kai got new sandals, which use velcro. He loves to take them off himself and we often have trouble finding them when we need them. This was an incredibly hard sandal to find...somehow the velcro got stuck to the table cloth.
And, we love trying the random rides at our shopping center.
And because I am just filling this post with lots of random things that have made us happy these last couple weeks, I will share with you one of my favorite meals ever. Ree Drummand's breakfast pizza on food network. It is so yummy. Try it if you love pizza and breakfast. It's a win.
So glad we're having such a great summer.
