This spring we tried a first and entered our kids in their first team sports. It was a lot of fun, but definitely took a lot more time than I was expecting. I guess it's good preparation for when our kids get even busier. It was also fun to see the difference in skill levels with age. Pace's baseball team did a mix of pitching and tee-ball, Grant's and Louis's teams were exclusively tee-ball. Pace's team was starting to get the hang of outfield play, Grant's team all went for the same ball, but eventually made it to first base, and Louis's team often ended up playing tag in the outfield. Anyway, it was very amusing to watch all of the games.
Jake also took Pace and Grant to do a color here on base. They absolutely had a blast. They got t-shirts, loved the colors being thrown at them (except Grant said he tried to avoid that part), and had a fire truck spray them down. They came home all smiles and with donuts to share with all of us.
While they were out running the younger boys and I went to a new playground, which was a hit.
