Easter Brings New Life

 So we came home and celebrated Easter, but before I get into that I want to announce our big news.  It seems appropriate to make this announcement as I am putting together a blog about Easter, since Easter is about new starts and new life.  A new baby will be joining our family in October 2021!  Baby is healthy and we are just excited to see our family grow.  I was so slow about getting to the doctor I was already 12 weeks pregnant before I could see the baby.  At 20 weeks (yes I am jumping in the future here) I found out that it was a baby girl.  While I was expecting her to be a boy (since that is what I am accustomed to), we are excited to have a little girl join our family and shake things up a bit.  Here are a few pictures that we have of her.

Now jump ahead 8 weeks and here is her profile and the boys reaction to learning they will have a new sister (they already knew about the baby).

Now back to our Easter celebration.  We had fun reading the story of Jesus's resurrection and his sacrifice for us.  Then we celebrated the blessings we receive through Christ by decorating eggs and having an Easter egg hunt.

So Happy Easter everyone!  We sure have a lot to be thankful for here in the Monson household!
