First Steps and Birthday Boys

February brings Louis and Grant's birthdays.

Louis turned 4.  I cannot believe how he is getting.  Louis is a passionate guy, and we love having him in our family.  He loves trucks, cars, Mickey's Clubhouse, and hanging out with his big brothers.  He is looking forward to  Halloween and Chrismas and asks me at least twice a week how far away they are.  He is very social and always wants to play with friends.

Grant is now 6 years old.  He still loves monster trucks, and even asked for a Gravedigger cake.  I didn't love how it turned out, but he was happy with it.  So I count that as a win.  He has rececently gotten excited about Pokemon cards.  He still loves to rub babies heads, just now instead of Louis's head it's Kai's.  He loves playing with friends and he often is playing at our house or at a friend's house.  He picks out really fun books from the school library that we all enjoy reading together.  He loves drinking soda...especially out of a vending machine.

In other news, at 19 months Kai has decided to tart walking.  Yay!  I knew he was just biding his time, but it is so nice not to have to carry him as much...he's a big 1 year old.

This week we also visited the railway museum in Satima.  They had so many trains to see, get in and explore.  They even had a fully functional full size turn table.  Since Jake loves trains, our kids have also gained a love for them as well.  So this was a family favorite for sure.

And one last thing that we have found in our neighborhood is the cool ice spikes that form on the ground here.  Maybe this is just exciting to us because this is our first winter in a cold place for a while, but I don't remember seeing ice like this anywhere else.  Here is a chunk of them on Louis's leg.
