Pace started school on August 5. He is lucky enough to have 2 first grade teachers and he seems to like being a first grader. We miss having him around during the day, but it is fun to hear what he is learning. Although, he doesn't share too much with us about school. We just look at the school work he brings home. This month we are creating a moon chart. Look at this cute 1st grader.
Grant has also recently learned to ride a bike and he is a pro!
In August we went to the last city and county botanical garden on the island that we hadn't visited, Lili'okalani Botanical Garden. It was much smaller and more like a normal park, but it had a pretty waterfall. The boys loved throwing rocks in the river. When we got bored with that we headed over to the aquarium and made it a day.

| Louis found this leaf and couldn't leave it behind. |
We also did the 'Ahuimana Trail. It was definately off the beaten path and not the easy rating our hiking guide suggested, so probably not the easiest hike to do at 39 weeks pregnant with 3 kids. But Pace and Grant liked the adventure of all the rock climbing and the point we made it to was beautiful (I guess if we had kept going on the hard to find trail there was another waterfall). But we were happy with what we did get to see.

| We found a lizard with a shirt on! |
Then on the 5th Grandma came to help us for the pending arrival of baby Kai. We are still patiently awaiting his arrival since he is past his due date and too comfortable. But in the meantime we are having fun with Grandma. Making cookies and visiting the Bishop museum.
Here are a couple of pictures from the Bishop Museum. They had a lego exhibit there that we went to check out.
So now we are all anxiously awaiting Kai's arrival and trying to convince him that we need him out here. Hope we can announce his arrival soon!
