April Happenings

So, my kids love melon, any type any kind.  One lunch it was just Grant Louis and I...and we may have over indulged. Haha!
These were all the pieces Grant and Louis ate!

But at least it put a smile on his face.
Playing large bowling at our community tiny tots program.

Jake had an extra day off while Pace still had school.  So we took the little guys on a hike.  I finally did the whole Aiea Loop Trail.

Grant had fun, but by the end of the 5 miles his poor feet hurt.
We buried a few boys in the sand at Kalama Beach one Saturday.

We became bunnies at the library.

I helped the kids make rock buddies at Joy school (they were too cute not to document)
We also went to Koko Crater Botanical Garden.  We loved it.  It was a desert wonderland.  I am not sure I have ever seen cacti that big.  I would have never expected this on Oahu, yet here it was.  The boys loved it.  Also, their plumeria garden is lovely.
One funky shaped one

Louis standing by a Loulu palm (Loulu is my favorite nickname for him too).

Frolicking in the cacti

The Mickey barrel cactus
And of course a few other fun moments.

This is so cute to me.  Little Pace on my big exercise ball
Also this month I was able to do a weekend getaway with my college friend Jeanette.  It was wonderful to have a weekend off and we spent it in beautiful Victoria B.C.
A cool bridge on our hike to Majestic falls

We also went on a whale watching tour and saw a pod of orca.  I didn't edit this video down, but all the orca action is at the end.  The little one did a few tricks for us.

Sunken Garden in Buchart Gardens

Totem poles were all over

This lady is amazing, and I am not talking about me or the mammoth in the background (we were at the Royal BC museum...definitely a cool place).
I did miss Easter with my boys, but they had a lot of fun on their weekend with Dad.

Easter Egg Dying

The egg hunt

Jake also took them to the zoo.

April was such a fun month.  We had fun together and I had fun getting a weekend off with Jeanette.
